Tackle Buddy

For this assignment, I developed a digital product designed to benefit the Rochester, NY area. Given the region's numerous water locations, I decided to create an app specifically for fishing enthusiasts. The app helps users find local fishing spots and provides quick information about available amenities and the types of fishing offered. Additionally, it features a community aspect, allowing users to share their catches and engage with others in the fishing community.

Research

Most of the research for this project focused on competitive analysis. I examined existing products, identifying both their strengths and weaknesses. I also looked for missed opportunities that could help make my product stand out and offer something unique.

Design

I designed Tackle Buddy with a strong focus on usability and navigation, ensuring a smooth experience for first-time users. The goal was to make the app intuitive and comfortable, especially for those less familiar with technology. Users can easily find fishing spots, amenities, and related features with minimal effort. The clean layout and simplified controls help guide users through the app, allowing them to explore and interact with the community without feeling overwhelmed by complex functionalities.
